Radio EditorialThe World from a Jewish Perspective XXX Thank you Edith, The war in Israel worsens day by day. Some call it now a war of attrition. But it is a war of brutal deception. Israel is surrounded by hungry jackals, greedy businesspeople, shrewd politicians and sanctimonious fanatics. This unholy alliance tries to put up a facade of justice. When Israel is hit and on top, criticized, it is all done in the name of "justice". The noble evenhandedness has to be demonstrated by use of words, which let "right" appear as wrong and "wrong" as right. Slanted expressions serve to hide the true intentions. We are not surprised to hear Arab lies and defamation as expressed so eloquently by Hanan Ashrawi and her eager students; "Israeli are terrorists. Zionism is racism. Israelis are out to kill children. Israel makes the Palestinians a Holocaust. Israel made war on the Arabs as of 1948." Interesting is the statement that the Jews stole the land from the Palestinians - whereas never ever a Palestinian State existed. And of course - "Jerusalem is the eternal capital of the Palestinians. The Jews had never a connection to the Holy Land. The Jews had never a state or a Temple in Jerusalem. The Jews started a war in 1967 and occupied Arab land. One day the settlers are the case of all evil, the next day - the refugees." Etc.etc. Lies and deception, deception and lies. We are also not surprised by the actions of the UN, which rubber-stamp all Arab statements automatically. And of course, the good old-fashioned anti-Semites who unfortunately - in increased numbers - add their dirty oil to the fire. We are more surprised about the bias of the United States of Europe, which lets Arab oil and business interests, overshadow their bad conscience from their participating in the Holocaust. Though the world acknowledged the evil of terrorism and Hamas, Jihad or Hizballa to name a few, are declared terror organizations, their attacks are never made by terrorists but by "gunmen," "militants" or "frustrated people. Interesting is also a statement like: "Violence broke out in Israel. Ten people were killed, amongst them a suicide bomber." Evenhandedness for murderer and victim. Also the frequent call for both sides to stop shooting is a deception. If the Arab stop their Intifada, killing has stopped! Period. The complaints against Sharon, who shoots at empty buildings, is to be a "hardliner." The complaints against Yasser Arafat - the mother and father of all terrorists - who orchestrates the killing machine even today is: "that he does not do enough!" The war against the Jews is malicious, brutal and world wide tolerated deceptiveness. Enters Prince Abdullah from Saudia. Sensational and peace-loving! Israel should retreat to the borders of 1967. Borders, before Israel was attacked. This - against the promise of all Arab countries to recognize Israel. Ha ha! The plan is clear and smart. The first Intifada was organized by Arafat from Tunis. The second Intifada was made already from inside, from the part of the returned land. The third Intifada will come from deep inside the territories, received due to Abdullah's masterplan. Creeping closer to the Arab "final solution." When I arrived in Palestine, after escaping from the Nazis, an old-timer described me the Arab character in a story: "An old Arab was disturbed by the noise of children who played before his house. Quite frustrated he went out and told them; "why are you playing here, while 3 streets from here everybody gets fine honey-cakes for free." The children ran off and for a while the Arab enjoyed the calm, but then he hit his forehead in anger and complained: "Yakharbetak ana ahmar. How can I be such a donkey? I send the kids for the fine cookies and I myself sit here and don't get anything." One of the Arab problems is, that they believe their own stories. And those, non-Arabs, who let themselves to be fooled, create another problem.
This war of deception will find no solution, only more and more blood and misery. It is time to sort out truth from lies and reality from dreams. Otherwise we may wake up from the dream and find its nightmare come true.
